Bone Thugs N Harmony - A High Pace and Harmonizing

The only group in music history to have made a collaboration with the respected Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, Big Punisher and Eazy – E while they were still alive.

The 1997 Grammy Award winner from Cleveland, Ohio, Bone Thugs N Harmony, have gone through their Ups & Downs since their early interception in 1990’s. The group consists of Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, and Bizzy Bone is the only group in music history to have made a collaboration with the respected Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, Big Punisher and Eazy – E while they were still alive. Currently the high pace rapping group who are known for their unique harmonizing style continue their work with only 3 members after Flesh - N – Bone, who joined the group in 1993, was sentenced to eleven years in prison in 2000 while Bizzy left the group due to an undeclared reason since May 2005.

Before winning the Grammy Award for the ‘Best Rap Performance’ for the song ‘Tha-Crossroads’, the group had already released 3 albums, debuting in year 1994 with ‘Creepin on ah Come Up’, ‘E 1999 Eternal’ in 1995 and the 1997 Sun Tzu philosophy influence album called ‘The Art of War’. With a bit of a dark impression, Bone Thugs N Harmony often talks about violence, marijuana and politics combining with their famous fast rapping technique. The difference between Bones and other rap groups is the self trademark of interwoven high speed melodic pace and the slow harmonic pace. Often, they tend to ride the beat when they are rapping.

On 2006, Krayzie Bone featured on Chammilionaire single ‘Ridin’ which really giving impact to the song. He also makes appearance in 2pac’s most recent album title as ‘Pac’s life’. Besides Krayzie, all other Bones member also has been invited to collaborate with several artists. Phil Collins once joined the group in the making of ‘Thug world Order’ album in late 2001 with a track title ‘Home’. ‘Thug World Order’ gained it place in several countries especially in United Kingdom. However, in United States, after holding the number 12 spots the album slipped off the charts. Other projects that Bones hooked up include a forth coming film, ‘I Tried’.

So far, the group has already recorded 8 albums since 1994 including the latest 2007 album ‘Strength & Loyalty’ and ‘T.H.U.G.S’, 2 compilation albums in 1998 and 2000, and 2 underground albums in 1991 and 2005. Although they cannot repeat the success during their peak period around 12 years ago, Bone Thugs N Harmony already collected huge followers around United States and Europe. Album ‘Strength & Loyalty’ perhaps marked the comeback of Bone Thugs N Harmony success when it was nominated as ‘Favourite Album’ and ‘Favourite Band/Group’ for Rap/Hip - Hop category on American Music Awards 2007. Several years from now, the group name - Bone Thugs N Harmony will be written in music history as the contributor and the most respected group of all time.
