As other teenager with the same age of them still struggle to have a good career in life, Billy Lunn, Charlotte Cooper and Josh Morgan already know what await them within few years from now. The Subways, based in Welwyn Garden City, UK is currently one of UK most promising garage rock band thanks to their superb performance, nice stage showmanship and of course their quality music material. They might be young for some people but they offer a lot more than that, energetic yet surprising in each of their appearance.

Begin to perform in several small gig by using band named like Mustardseed and Platypus, their talent later discovered by Micheal Eavis, who in charge of Glastonbury. He organizes an unsigned band competition for that year. For The Subways, it all happen when Billy Lunn producing a record for other local band in his lounge, he notice that the band was quite good so he asked the band where they going to send the record. From there, The Subways send their material and got lucky, Micheal Eavis was happy to put them on the list for Glastonbury. "We never expected the phone call saying that we'd won and were to play Glastonbury," said Charlotte Cooper. Since then, there was no turning back for them anymore.
Their blend in music is unique ranging from the catchy relax melody of ‘No Goodbyes’ tracks to garage post sound of ‘Oh Yeah’.
On 4th July 2005, they release their first studio album titled as ‘Young for Eternity’. The album contains debut singles “Oh Yeah”, climb number 25 in UK music charts in its interception week, 21 March 2005. For ‘Young for Eternity’ album, they receive positive review from music critics and magazine; the album itself stands proud in rank 32 UK charts, which is very hard for artist to achieve in first material release. Moreover, they perform not one but twice in Reading and Leeds Festivals, a dream venue for musicians in UK. When talked about The Subways music, the influenced come from many band such as The Beatles and Oasis, just to name a few including Nirvana which the band always play during their jam session in early days. Untill present, The Subways have recorded one studio Album titled ‘Young for Eternity’ in 2005, thirteen EPs including ‘The Live Videos EP’ and ‘Live and Acoustic in Magdeburg EP’ that only appeared in iTunes. Five compilation release – ‘Glastonbury Unsigned 2004’, ‘Music from The O.C: Mix 5’, ‘Transgressive Singles Collection Vol.1’, ‘Rescue Me (Soundtrack)’ and ‘Charlie Bartlett (Soundtrack)’ and five singles - ‘1 am’, ‘Oh Yeah’, ‘Rock & Roll Queen’, ‘With You’ and finally ‘No Goodbyes’ in December 2005.The Subways have stunned everyone with their creativity and hard work. At this young age, one can expect that there are more records and tracks coming up from them in future. As note, their second studio album is ready and will be release anytime within 1st quarter of year 2008 – Garage in Melody
