The Interpretation of True Modern City
Located within 25 km from Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Malaysia’s latest and the third federal territory offered several interesting place to hang out or during stop by. Built on a marshland and once a former oil palm estate, the area covered 5,000 hectares optimized with the concept of modern city which focusing more on sustainable development. Putrajaya continue to growth as it takes away the population of 1.8 million people leaving Kuala Lumpur as financial and commercial territory.

Putrajaya most talk about attraction are more into architecture with the touch and influence of Islamic civilisation combine altogether with Malaysian unique heritage. Everything planned according to the right scale including facilities for sports and recreations that aim to develop conducive environment for community to learn and explore. The ‘Green Area’ consists of parks, garden, wetlands and lakes take about 40 percent of the city among the best and ideal place not only for locals but also for tourist and visitor. Putrajaya very own Wetland Park or known as Taman Wetland by resident for example, is the first in the country and current largest artificial fresh water wetland in the tropics, it is a home for nature trails, wetland plant nursery, flamingo pond and it also playing its vital role to educate society about the wetland ecosystem and its conservation.

Heading more to the centre of Putrajaya, visitor will be amazed with pink giant dome of Putra Mosque that can fit up to 15,000 Muslim worshippers at the same time. Stand at the height of 116 metre, the mosque five – tiered minaret is the tallest in region. Visitors are encouraged to visit and enter; however, it is advisable to follow the visitation schedule and rules as a sign of respect. If there are enquiries, do not hesitate to ask the mosque authority. They are helpful and able to help anytime.

Just in front of Putra mosque, the administrative office of Malaysian Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Ministers are located. Perdana Putra, represent the artistic touch of Mogul and Islamic architecture. It was decorate with green domes, and stone carving with motif of National flower, the Hibiscus. Adding extra effect, the beautiful scenery of Lake Putrajaya is a suitable place for photographer to snap one or two shot while here. Other than that, Putrajaya also have numbers of shopping complex and dining place, The Alamanda, Souq, Anjung and Lanai are open to checkout.

Getting Here
Putrajaya can be access through various type of transportation. The NKVE highway connects Putrajaya with Kuala Lumpur as well to Subang Jaya and Petaling Jaya. Express Railway Link also available via KLIA Transit that stop at Western Transit Transport Terminal in Presint 7 as well with Taxi and Intercity Bus (Rapid KL) service.

Yeah, Putrajaya is an amazing place. Although i have not really officially been there and look around, through our trip to Putrajaya, i thought it is really beautiful. I am trully amazed with its unique heritage and architecture, and it is easily accessible too. Nice place to hang out definitely! Love your article =D
